Umrah in the last 10 nights of Ramadan 2027: Laylat al-Qadr

The last ten nights of Ramadan carry the greatest spiritual value of the year — pilgrims seek Laylat al-Qadr, 'better than a thousand months,' in the odd nights. In 2027 they fall around late February to 8 March. They are also the most in-demand nights in Makkah: hotels near the Haram go first, and booking early is the only way to enjoy them with peace of mind.
Why the last ten nights?
The last ten nights of Ramadan are the spiritual summit of the month. The Prophet ﷺ intensified worship in them and sought Laylat al-Qadr — the Night of Decree, "better than a thousand months" (Surah Al-Qadr) — in the odd nights (21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th). Performing Umrah then, praying these nights in the Masjid al-Haram facing the Kaaba, is a deep aspiration for many pilgrims.
When do they fall in 2027?
Ramadan 2027 is expected around 7 February to 8 March (subject to moon sighting). The last ten nights therefore cover roughly the final week of February through 8 March 2027. Exact dates confirm only with the crescent sighting — which is why flexibility and early booking matter equally.
The flip side: the year's highest demand
What millions of believers seek, you seek too — and space around the Haram is limited:
- Hotels near the Haram fill first. At 50 or 200 metres from the Grand Mosque, the allotments reserved for Moroccan agencies go well before winter.
- Prices are the year's highest in this window — mechanical, not an arbitrary markup.
- Crowds peak. The hotel choice (distance, tier) changes everything in your daily life on site.
The only real strategy: book early
To live the last ten nights near the Haram without settling for what's left, the useful window in Morocco is before November (see our article on when to book Ramadan Umrah). Booking early means:
- Choosing your tier and distance to the Haram instead of being stuck with them;
- Securing family rooms (triples, quads), which go first;
- Spreading the budget — a deposit confirms the place, the balance before departure;
- Filing the visa early, while processing times are still short (see documents & visa).
