Best time for Umrah from Morocco

There is no single 'best' period: Ramadan offers the greatest spiritual reward but the biggest crowds and highest prices; winter combines mild weather with easier fares; summer suits families despite the heat. The right choice depends on your priority.

Ramadan — the spiritual peak

An Umrah during Ramadan holds special value in the tradition, and the last ten nights concentrate the year's highest demand. Practical consequences: maximum crowds at the Haram, hotels booked months ahead, peak prices. If this is your goal, book 4–6 months early — the Moroccan market fills from autumn.

Winter — the best comfort/price balance

From November to February (outside holidays), Makkah enjoys mild temperatures (around 25–30°C by day), ideal for tawaf and sa'i. Crowds and prices ease after the peaks. It's the period we recommend for a serene first Umrah, especially for older travelers.

Spring and Shaaban — the pre-Ramadan window

Rajab and Shaaban attract those seeking the spirituality of Ramadan's approach without its crowds. A good crowd/price compromise and a beautiful preparation for the holy month.

Summer and school holidays — the family window

July–August lets families travel without school constraints. The heat is real (often above 40°C): our programs adapt — early-morning or evening movements, hotels close to the Haram, days organized accordingly. See the checklist to equip yourself.
