What Nusuk is

Nusuk is the official Saudi platform bringing together services tied to pilgrimage and visiting the holy sites. It exists as a mobile app and a website, in several languages.

For a Moroccan pilgrim travelling with an agency, most of the file — visa, hotels, transfers — is handled by the agency. So you don't need to master the whole platform. One function concerns you directly, and it matters.

Use #1: booking the Rawdah

The Rawdah, the space between the Prophet's ﷺ home and his pulpit in the Madinah mosque, is described as "a garden from the gardens of Paradise." Demand is such that access is by booking a time slot, via Nusuk.

A few practical principles:

• Book as early as possible — slots go fast, especially in busy periods.
• Create your account before departure, calmly, rather than in the hotel lobby.
• Respect your allotted time and present whatever proof is requested.
• Exact terms can change: check at the time of your trip, and ask your group leader.

Other uses

Depending on the period and your situation, the platform may also give access to service information, permits for certain visits, or practical guidance on the holy sites. Useful, but secondary when you travel guided: your team on site guides you.

Before you go: prepare the digital side

• A charged phone and a connection solution (roaming or local SIM) — no connection, no booking.
• Photos of your documents on the phone, alongside the originals.
• Your group leader's contacts saved before departure.

Booking the Rawdah, step by step

This is the process that raises the most questions. The principle — confirm against the rules in force at your departure:

1. Install the app and create your account before leaving Morocco, using your passport details exactly — one spelling difference blocks validation.
2. Verify your identity in the app; this is the step that unlocks the permit request.
3. Open the permits section and choose the Rawdah visit, in Madinah.
4. Select a time slot. Slots are released in waves and go within minutes at peak times: check several times a day rather than once.
5. Keep the QR code you receive: it is checked at the entrance. Without it, access is refused.

The mistakes that cost you a slot

• Waiting until you arrive to create the account: identity verification can take time, and you lose booking days.
• A name spelled differently from the passport — a frequent cause of rejection.
• Checking only once a day: slots reappear as cancellations and new waves land.
• Forgetting the permit is personal: every family member needs their own, including children who hold a passport.
