First Umrah: the 7 mistakes to avoid

First-Umrah mistakes are almost always the same: passport checked too late, late booking, choosing on price alone without looking at the distance to the Haram, rites discovered on site. Here are the seven most common traps — and how each is avoided in minutes.
1. Checking your passport too late

2. Booking at the last minute
For in-demand windows — Ramadan, school holidays, Mawlid — the Moroccan market fills months ahead, and hotels near the Haram go first. Booking late means choosing from what's left. Find your window in the best-period chapter and plan ahead.
3. Comparing prices but never distances
Two offers "at the same price" can hide a 700-meter gap to the Haram — twenty minutes of walking per prayer, in the heat, several times a day. The first criterion of a comfortable Umrah is your hotel's distance to the Haram. That's why every tier of our offers displays it in meters, in plain sight.

7. Going through an unlicensed middleman
Every year, Moroccan pilgrims are trapped by unlicensed "offers" paid without a receipt. A licensed travel agency can be verified: displayed licence number, real address, payment at the agency against a receipt — never a transfer to an individual.
